The experience

The spirit of this proposal is focused on the reinterpretation of some traditional Sicilian dishes, made with locally selected raw materials wanted by the Executive Chef Andrea Macca with the use of selected ingredients, strictly at Km 0. The magic of Firriato’s most exclusive labels, this experience is designed for all those who share a passion for wine and who wish to cuddle themselves with a unique, different experience. The format begins with a tour of the vineyards of Baglio Sorìa, a magnificent seventeenth-century baglio that dominates the Trapani hills. This will be followed by the guided tasting which includes the tasting of 4 wines told by our Sommelier who will focus on the agronomic practices, the winemaking techniques of each label and will end with the sensory analysis of the wines.

Libeccio includes an appetizer, a main course and a homemade dessert. During the tasting, it will also be possible to taste the Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, a blend of Cerasuola and Nocellara, native cultivars of Trapani countryside.

Meat-based courses
– Selection of wines at the discretion of our sommelier
– Starter: Triplum of Caponata in three layers with confit caper and basil emulsion, sweet and sour sauce and dark chocolate rapè
– Second course: Sicilian Citrus Pork Neck Medallion, served with new potatoes and a salad of yellow and red cherry tomatoes
– Dessert: Ricotta cannolo with Bronte pistachio

Fish-based courses
– Selection of wines at the discretion of our sommelier
– Starter: Eggplant Millefeuille with basil emulsion and parmesan cream
– Second course: Catch of the Day Fillet cooked in seawater, served with steamed potato rounds, mussels, clams, and cherry tomato stew
– Dessert: Ricotta cannolo with Bronte pistachio

By car:

From Palermo: Take the A29 highway towards Trapani – Mazara del Vallo. At the junction, keep right towards “Trapani – Aeroporto Birgi.” Exit at Trapani and continue to Contrada Soria.

By public transport:

Plane: From Trapani “Vincenzo Florio” Airport, you can reach Baglio Sorìa by rental car or taxi (about 20 minutes).
From Palermo “Falcone Borsellino” Airport, you can reach Baglio Sorìa by rental car or taxi (about 53 minutes).

Ferry: Connections from Genoa, Naples, Civitavecchia, and Livorno with Tirrenia Navigazione or Grimaldi. Continue by car or opt for a taxi transfer.
